We have a diverse range of activities for families looking for some weekend fun, with an outdoor play area, trampolines and bouncy castle (Seasonal), a miniature railway (Seasonal), treasure hunt and, Live Commentary.

Our shop has plenty of activities for children to enjoy whilst in the park. We have model airplanes for example, the Concorde or Virgin 747s. We even have model building kits, so you can build and paint your own Red Arrow!

We also have a Café, where we offer a range of grab-and-go options and, an exciting Brunch offer for the family to enjoy every weekend. More details here.

Junior Flyers

Children taking part in this session will have the opportunity to board our Concorde and sit in the luxurious seats where celebrities and Royalty alike used to sit.

Take part in some dress role play such as pilot or air traffic controller, whilst learning about the different job roles that help ensure that Manchester Airport runs smoothly 365 days of the year. You may even have the chance to see some of these jobs in action outside on the Runway.

Concorde Tours

We're thrilled to offer Concorde tours on both weekends and weekdays. Our tours are: 

Concorde Classic tour- Lasts 1 hour, includes 30 minutes in the cabin and a visit to the flight-deck. Free parking included. £15pp

Concorde Technical tour- With extended time in the flight deck, this tour provides a great opportunity for you to marvel at Concorde’s unique aviation engineering in expanded detail. £25pp- Free parking

Concorde Platinum tour- Concorde experience. This tour includes a full tour of the cabin, as well as walking under the wings of the flagship G-BOAC Concorde, whilst you enjoy a celebratory glass of champagne or Orange Juice. Finish this experience by watching the famous nose droop.

Aircraft Movements

Every weekend, the park's aircraft commentary system will be live from 11am. This includes information about planes landing and taking off, facts about the airport as well as quiz questions for the little ones.

The RVP Facebook page is the best place to keep in touch with news about special aircraft movements, including the Virgin 747 retirement flights. We also post on aircraft movements to expect at the weekend. The link to the page is - www.facebook.com/runwayvisitorpark

Retired Aircrafts

The RVP's Volunteer Engineering Team will be working on our retired aircraft on Saturday's during the year. The team are happy to answer any questions you may have on the aircraft or aircraft engineering in general. 

Events

Here at the Runway Visitor Park, there are a range of events that are held, such as Military Days and Classic Car events.
